The server will be down until we can reconcile the damages and return things to normal. At minimum, it will be 24 hours from now (1:00 AM CST/GMT-0600). I can definitely see it going on longer, depending on circumstance. We are working as quickly as we can -- considering real life, schools, and jobs.
Anyway, I just wanted to update you guys. GMs have a ton of work to do between now and tomorrow -- including looking through a 500 MB log file. The accounts that will be banned are those who we feel helped this catastrophe with malicious intent and opportunists who looked the other way. A good deal of interpretting the logs are subjective, and I will be personally looking through everyone's logs to make that decision. All bans are final, please do not come up to me with a sob story of how you didn't know. If you don't like the decision I made, leave. This server doesn't need high population counts -- its only needs a friendly cohesive community. If that means 500 assholes looking for somewhere else to play... that is perfectly fine by me.

Is this true? ...that can be so easily arranged, and I can have my nights & weekends back. I keep hoping that there are the majority of you who are quietly appreciative of this server; but, that hardly seems to be the case.

Now, its 4:39 PM CST/GMT-0600 the next day. We're not nearly as far along as we had hoped. I took a day off from work to do this, and hopefully we'll see some results soon. I think I'm going to slip the 1 AM target -- but hopefully not by too much.
Meanwhile, the best place to get an update is in IRC. We're at #ethereal-ro on irc.deltaanime.net. If you don't know how to use IRC -- well, you have a couple of hours to learn. ^^
PS. Make sure you thank your GMs when you see them. They've put amazing hours into this.
